About

Hi, I'm Tess.

I'm a jeweler and metalsmith living in Cleveland, Ohio.

Cleveland is very special to me. After 11 years away Chicago and the Bay Area, I was excited to return home in 2019. This city has a rich industrial history, and I currently work in The Twist Drill Building, which was a manufacturing giant built in 1888.

While studying Illustration at Columbia College Chicago, I unexpectedly fell in love with metalsmithing and switched course. I do not have any formal training- instead I interned and apprenticed under several jewelers in Chicago and eventually in San Francisco.

My style and aesthetic has evolved over the years, but some things remain consistent: I like clean, natural and minimal design, that has markings from the human hand.

Over the years I have taught many jewelry and metals classes, learned lapidary arts (stone cutting) and participated in several gallery shows. My pieces have been sold at many boutiques and galleries over the years, and I've organized a few craft markets in the Cleveland area.

If you'd like to see my pieces in person, they are currently located at the following locations:

-Time Change Generator (Cleveland, OH)

-The W Gallery (Rocky River, OH)

-Oxbow Orchard (Valley View, OH)
